Another one is using gunpowder for weaponry. Gunpowder was found in China before the Tang Dynasty but the Tang were the first to use it with weapons. When gunpowder was used with weapons, items like guns and bombs were created, changing history forever.
A big invention which may have had the biggest impact on how knowledge was spread was movable and block printing. Movable printing consisted of blocks of stones engraved with Chinese letters which were dipped into ink and placed on the writing space. Block printing had the same concept except it was a bigger block with a page of information engraved. This had a major impact on the spread of knowledge because having books was not a luxury anymore causing more people to have books.
